OMG I Won Stuff!

No, really I did! I was nominated 5 times in the Gem Awards, Jasper round and I won 3 of them! I'm giddy and I have to say a huge thank you, not just to those who nominated me in the first place, but to those who went and voted for me. I'm stoked, I didn't think that many people had read 'Fire & Ice', let alone liked it enough to vote for it, and I can't even begin to tell you what winning 'Best New Writer' means to me.
I'm squealing today, but very quietly, because I'm recovering from a sinus headache and I'm feeling a bit fragile.

Wicked Wednesday: In Which We Have Noms!

When I got an email telling me that my fic had been nommed in the Gem Awards, I was a little surprised to see it was Fire & Ice, not my more widely known MC fic, Behind Enemy Lines.

I was even more surprised to see it was nominated more than once.

I was about ready to ptfo when I saw I actually had five, count 'em, FIVE nominations.

Yes, really. I counted them several times.

Fire & Ice has been nominated for:

• Best Dark fic
• Best Display of Vampire Mating
• Best Death in a Fic
• Best Banner

And I've been nominated for

• Best New Writer

I don't know who nominated me but thank you! I don't honestly believe I stand a cat in hell's chance of winning (I'm not just being modest there, I'm up against HammerHips, JaspersIzzy and MistressGemGem in more than one of those categories), but being nominated amongst those I consider fanfic geniuses is just fucking awesome.

This author has a big assed grin right now.
